Your student years have the potential to be some of the most significant and formative of your life. It’s a time of discovery, of influence and of adventure. Brighton is one of the UK’s liveliest and most exciting cites to live and study in. At Emmanuel, we want you to thrive during your time at University here.

Emmanuel Student Christmas Ball

The Student Christmas Ball is our annual highly enjoyed event and it is undoubtedly the best way to celebrate the end of the semester before thinking about exams.
This year's Christmas Ball will be bringing Winter Wonderland to The Clarendon Centre. Join us on Friday 7th December to experience the magical blend of a winter experience with fun warm vibes.

Every Sunday, we gather at the Clarendon Centre for the 6 pm service. After the service we hang out together, enjoying food, local beers and live music.

A free bus service is provided if you'd like to travel by bus to the service from the Universties. After the service, the bus does a return journey back to the Universities.

BLESS Society

At Sussex and Brighton University, we have the BLESS society where each week we hold a huge feast absolutely FREE. Every week we enjoy a different cuisine from Pizza, Indian, Jamaican and Chinese to much more. Our events are held on Sunday at 3:30pm until 5 after which we catch the free bus to church together.

Small groups

We believe life is a team sport – best done together. Get connected at Emmanuel by signing up to a smallgroup.

Smallgroups meet weekly in locations across the city. Choose from a variety of interesting groups and courses, all of which meet for around nine weeks over the term.

Weekend Away

Each year, we hold a Weekend Away trip with all the students. 40-60 of us travel to Dalesdown (a small conference centre just outside of the city) for some time away to hang out together, play games and as well as times of worship, teaching and prayer. The Weekend Away is known to be a life changing time for many students during their time at university. That is our hope each year!
