The Weekender is a chance for the Emmanuel community, from across our four sites, to go away together and enjoy extended quality time with our church family over food, teaching, worship, and lots of fun. It's an opportunity for us to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
We’ll be transforming Ashburnham House into Emmanuel village for the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. You could either camp or have an en suite room depending on your preference.
A few of the fun things to look forward to:
The Emmanuel Games
Lake swimming sessions
Silent disco
Sports act
Early morning woodland run
Coffee tasting
Beer tasting
Dougie Dug Dug Crazy science praise party
We are planning to have an exciting Kids Work during our time together.

How do I get there?
The address is: Ashburnham Place, Battle, East Sussex, TN33 9NF
There is usually at least an hourly rail service to Battle via Hastings. Battle Station is about 5 miles from Ashburnham Place. Taxis are available outside the station.
Arrival on-site on Friday will be from 12pm.
How much?
Prices vary depending on whether you'd like to camp, stay in the main building or have an en suite. A list of tickets can be found here.
If you'd like to put down a deposit towards your ticket, enter promo code ‘deposit’ and you can pay 25% now and the remainder in February.
We do not have day tickets available at this time. We really want people to come along for the whole weekend and enjoy being together as a church community.
What's the accommodation like?
In the House, the room options are with an ensuite or shared bathroom facilities. There are twin or double rooms and a small number of rooms have more than 2 beds. Alternately, you could choose to camp. Caravans, camper vans and motor homes are permitted. There will be showers, toilets and electric hook ups available.
There are a limited number of rooms in the House, but there is no limit on camping.
Unfortunately, we cannot permit pets on site. If you have an assistance dog, please contact us for further details.
What about food?
The price for rooms in the main house includes food. All camping is self-catering. We love eating together at Emmanuel and our meal times are going to be a wonderful opportunity to connect with people.
There is a Co-op in the nearest town, Battle. A little further (St Leonards) there is a Tesco and Sainsburys.
