Emmanuel at the Clarendon Centre has two services every Sunday. At our 10:30am morning service, there is a full range of activities for children and young people. Deaf signing is available at the morning service. After the 6pm evening service, we hang out together, enjoying local beers and live music.
If you’re new to Emmanuel or been coming a few weeks and would like to find out more, then we’d love for you to join us on the upper balcony, straight after the service where you can meet our leaders over some food and drinks.
Our morning begins at 9.30am where our coffee shop is open and breakfast is served in the lounge. The service itself takes place upstairs from 10.30am till noon.
In the service, you can expect 40 minutes of engaging Bible teaching, times of worship, prayer and reflection and communion. The service is for everyone and people are free to participate or just watch and listen as they feel comfortable. We encourage people to join our midweek groups to get to know people more and make friends in our community.
During the morning we also have a full range of activities for children - Snack, story time, songs, craft and free play are all involved. As well as play and craft activities we have a weekly video of relevant teaching from the Bible. Have a baby? Visit our video-linked Family Room where you can enjoy a comfy seat, space and privacy for you and your child and follow the service in the main hall on the screen.
Every fortnight our 11-14s group meet for their own programme of games, teaching, friendship, worship and discussion. They also meet at the Clarendon Centre every Friday during term time at 7.30pm.
A limited number of free parking spaces are available at Brewers’ car park, if you drive round to the back of the Clarendon Centre and take a right. Paid parking is available at London Road car park on Providence Place opposite Sainsburys and at Vantage Point car park on Elder Place.
Our 6 pm service includes a talk, vibrant worship, and community. At the end of the service, hang around and get to know us over a beer or pizza.
A free bus service operates from Sussex and Brighton University campuses to the Clarendon Centre during term time. For more information on our Student work, click here.
